What Should You Look for in a Female Quran Teacher?

Check four things: her qualification, whether classes are one-to-one and private, whether your daughter keeps the same teacher, and whether you can meet her in a free trial first. At Ayah E-learning Institute you can request a female tutor at no extra cost.

Qualification

What Qualifications Should a Female Quran Teacher Have?

Ask what her qualification is and where she earned it. Two are common for female teachers. An Alima has completed the full female scholarly programme. A Qaria is formally trained and certified in Quranic recitation and Tajweed, which matters most when a student is correcting how she actually sounds.

Our female tutors hold these qualifications. Each tutor's qualification, specialism, experience and teaching languages are published on our tutors page, so you can see who will teach before you commit.

Class Format

Should the Class Be One-to-One and Private?

For many families, a private class is the reason a daughter or an adult sister studies at all. Ask whether the class is one-to-one or a shared group call. Ours is always one-to-one: the student and her tutor, with nobody else in the session.

03

The Same Teacher

Will My Daughter Have the Same Teacher Every Week?

A steady teacher knows exactly where a student is up to. At Ayah E-learning Institute each student is matched with one tutor who teaches all of her classes. If the pairing is not right, whether for level, personality or schedule, tell us and we will move her to a different female tutor.

04

Free Trial

Why Does a Free Trial Matter?

A trial lets you meet the actual tutor before you decide anything. When you ask for a female tutor, she teaches the free trial class herself. There is no payment and no obligation, and you fill in the enrolment form only if you want to continue.

Safety Online

What Should Parents Check About Safety Online?

Ask any academy what it does and whether it will say so plainly. Ours is set out in our safeguarding policy: parents may observe any lesson, lessons are recorded only with parental permission, tutors are not permitted to message students privately, and concerns go directly to our Founder and Director, Mufti Abdul Baseer. We also state plainly that we do not claim every tutor has had a formal background check.

Adult Sisters

Is It Suitable for Adult Sisters as Well as Children?

Yes. Adult sisters learn with us too, often Noorani Qaida or Tajweed after years away. Because classes are private, there is no group to feel self-conscious in front of. Every one of our seven courses can be taught by a female tutor.

07

Requesting One

How Do You Request a Female Tutor?

Tell us when you book your free trial that you would like a female tutor. You do not need to give a reason, and it costs no more than any other class. Read more on our page for female Quran teachers, or see how families decide between a male or female Quran tutor.
